Get ready for the next instalment in our new series of live talks hosted by FIFA Museum Football Expert Prisca Steinegger, the erstwhile Switzerland international. It promises to be another magical and stirring evening focused on women’s football and full of inspiring stories.

Prisca Steinegger can’t wait to get back into the hosting chair for the second edition of “Invitation from Prisca”. She will once again be joined by a major personality from the football world: on this occasion, her guest will be the former elite referee Bibiana Steinhaus-Webb.

Venue: Champions Lounge – FIFA Museum

Time: around 19:45 (after the Women’s Nations League game between Iceland and Switzerland)

Language: German

Bibiana Steinhaus-Webb wrote her name in football history. She was the first woman to officiate in the men’s Bundesliga and made waves in the male-dominated world of refereeing thanks to her top-class performances.

The German cut her teeth as a referee at a young age, overseeing her first match when she was still a teenager. Her talent and tireless dedication catapulted her to the very top of the beautiful game. She took charge of numerous marquee matches, including notably the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011™ final, the gold-medal game at the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament London 2012 and a Women’s Champions League final. In October last year, Steinhaus-Webb came on board at FIFA, taking up the position of Head of Women’s Refereeing. One of her primary tasks is to further drive the development of women’s refereeing at all levels in close collaboration with FIFA’s member associations and the confederations.

On stage with Prisca, Steinhaus-Webb will be providing exclusive insights into her distinguished career. The discussion will touch on some of the challenges she faced, her biggest success stories and her most memorable experiences both on and off the pitch.
