One month before the kick-off to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ the Official History of the FIFA World Cup™ is now also available in Arabic. The book takes an in-depth look at all 21 FIFA World Cup™ tournaments played so far.

The Official History of the FIFA World Cup™ was the first book published by the FIFA Museum and is a FIFA Official Licensed Product. The main difference from previous licensed histories of the World Cup is that the content was produced under the supervision of the FIFA Museum. The book is also available in English.

The book is based on a series of match reports for the best and most notable games in each of the 21 World Cups played so far. There are quotes and first-hand memories from all 21 tournaments. Each of the chapters is full of anecdotes – curiosities long forgotten as well as the memorable and downright bizarre incidents on and off the pitch which have helped define each of the finals. Special attention is also given to the origins of the World Cup.

The book features over 600 photographs. Many of the photos feature artefacts and historic items on display in the FIFA Museum, along with images from the museum's photo archive. For the realization of this language version of the book, the FIFA Museum teamed up with the FIFA Translation [&] Interpretation Department and a partner institution, the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum in Doha. The Arabic version of The Official History of the FIFA World Cup™ will be available soon at the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum shop at the Khalifa Stadium and at the FIFA Museum presented by Hyundai shop at the Fan Festival in Doha.
