Revised gastronomy strategy to strengthen focus on museum visitors
Over the next few months, the FIFA Museum will be gradually implementing a new gastronomy strategy that puts museum visitors even more at the centre of its operations, offering them a holistic and high-quality experience.
Just over a year ago, the Extra Time restaurant opened its doors to visitors to the FIFA Museum, offering them a new option for refreshments. The restaurant has been so well received that it is now being expanded.
The new gastronomy strategy envisages that ‘Extra Time’, which is currently located directly behind the museum shop, will be moved step by step over the coming months to the area of the existing Café-Bar and World Cup Lounge. The relocation will create more space in a world-class ambience for museum visitors who wish to take advantage of our attractive culinary offerings after exploring the exhibition. The opening hours will also be extended and, after the move, will be aligned with the museum's opening hours (Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
Since the ‘Extra Time’ restaurant, like the museum shop, will continue to be accessible without a museum ticket, the FIFA Museum will remain an attractive lunch option for all residents and employees of nearby companies.
The new gastronomic strategy also involves changes for Sportsbar 1904. It will be temporarily closed from 30 November 2024 for a period of conversion. After the makeover, the bar will be available exclusively as an event location for B2C and B2B functions.
