Home-made trophy on display at FIFA Museum

The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy has left the FIFA Museum and made its way to Oceania for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. This spring, we asked children and young people to create a trophy so that the Women’s World Cup Trophy display case wouldn’t be empty. The winning entries will be on display over the next few weeks. Once again, a lot of children took part in the “What does your trophy look like?” competition and sent in photos and the stories behind their or their team’s trophy creations. After careful consideration, the judges selected the three winning trophy entries. From 18 July, each winning trophy will be showcased for ten days in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy display case. The winners, aged between 8 and 11, will be invited to the FIFA Museum during the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

From 18 to 28 July 2023, the trophy created by Stella (11) and Amélie (10) will be on display. This is the story behind its creation: “The Amélie Stella Trophy My friend and I got together to make a trophy. Our goal was, of course, to win, and to raise awareness of women’s football. We put in a lot of time and love to make the trophy. The idea was mine; my parents were at a KMSK meeting for children with rare diseases and came back with a flyer. To make the trophy, we used: cardboard, plastic, napkins, wrapping paper, hot glue, paint and adhesive tape. Kind regards, Stella and Amélie”
