Thousands visit FIFA Museum for #langenacht16

The FIFA World Football Museum is delighted to report that some 2,295 visitors were welcomed to the new home of football history as it took part in Zurich’s Long Night of Museums for the first time this weekend. All nine of our specially organised tour were fully booked and the initial feedback from these suggests that they were well received by guests.

“It was a great night and everybody involved seemed to have a lot fun – both staff and visitors,” said Oliver Vrieze, Sales & Marketing Director at FIFA museum.

The atmosphere throughout was very exciting and seeing so many enthusiastic, happy faces is exactly what we want for the museum. We’re very thankful that the people in Zurich turned out in such great numbers.

“It was also very nice to see that our different tours were so popular – we’ll have to start thinking about offering them on a permanent basis!”

The event was held on Saturday, 3 September 2016, as part of an annual event in Zurich that, this year, saw more than 50 of the city’s best venues open their doors between the irregular hours of 7PM and 2AM. It was the museum’s first involvement in the event, with organisers inviting us to take part as a guest venue.
