“The Making of a Footballer” exhibition extended until 31 October
The FIFA Museum is delighted to announce that its special exhibition, “The Making of a Footballer: Photographs of Youthful Dreams”, has been extended until the end of October. Visitors now have an extra two months to explore dozens of striking snapshots that chart the dreams, challenges and triumphs that shape promising prospects’ path to footballing stardom.
The exhibition comprises pictures from the private collections of more than 20 footballers and is organised around the pillars of a player’s development. It marks the first time that the museum has collaborated with both active football players and legends of the beautiful game to showcase their personal stories.
Among the current luminaries and former stars featured are Harry Kane, Aitana Bonmatí, Pelé, Javier Zanetti, Alex Morgan and Linda Caicedo. Harry Kane, England’s all-time record goalscorer, spoke of his pride at participating in “The Making of a Footballer” in an exclusive, wide-ranging interview with the museum, in which the prolific striker lifted the lid on some of the hurdles that he had to overcome en route to establishing himself at the highest level and underscored the importance of both enjoyment and mental resilience.
