Welcome to the FIFA Museum Hong Kong, where the history and heritage of football come to life. For the first time in Hong Kong, the story of the game is presented through original objects, engaging audiovisual content and interactive displays.
For six months, visitors are invited to embark upon an immersive journey through the heritage of the global game, shining a dazzling spotlight on the unique impact, passion and achievements of football in Asia. From hosting the very first FIFA Women’s World Cup™, to a record nine AFC members taking part in the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the continent’s football story is deeply woven into FIFA’s history.
FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup history
Hong Kong itself presents a fascinating perspective of football culture. With a football heritage spanning more than a century, the city has long played an important role in the development of the game in Asia, a legacy that continues to evolve alongside both the local community and the global stage.
The passport that transported Pelé to the World Cup stage, the match-ball that saw an iconic shoot-out between Italy and France in 2006, the boots Olga Carmona wore when she made Spain champions in 2023.
A selection of carefully curated objects from the FIFA Museum’s official collection has been made available for this very special exhibition, allowing visitors to get a close-up look at historic artefacts of football’s greatest moments.
Trace the timeline of the global game, with an original object from every edition of the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup™, each offering its own personal perspective of the tournament’s history. You can also discover some of Asia’s most memorable World Cup moments, presented through original objects that bring these stories to life.
The Trophies
Visitors can bask in the glow of ultimate victory, by admiring replicas of both the historic FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy and the Jules Rimet Trophy – the original prize of the FIFA World Cup.
This section lets the narrative of both tournaments unfold, tracing their origins, evolution and defining moments. Each person who has lifted these trophies has left an indelible mark on the tournament’s legacy, including Japan – who became the first, and so far only, senior World Cup champions when they won the women’s tournament in 2011.
The Rainbow
The Rainbow is one of the most iconic features of the FIFA Museum. It simultaneously celebrates the identity of the individual, while paying tribute to the part we all play in the global body.
A jersey from each of FIFA’s 211 Member Associations is included in this vibrant spectrum, each with its own narrative, culture and history woven into its fabric. The FIFA Museum Hong Kong displays them together, each with the same prominence and importance, to reflect the diversity within our unity, and symbolise football’s ability to connect people across continents, languages and generations.
Interactive Experiences
The FIFA Museum Hong Kong features a series of interactive experiences that invite visitors to engage with the game in a more hands-on way.
Test your reflexes in the Goalkeeper Challenge, step into the referee’s role, experience the drama at the penalty spot, and celebrate like a pro. Each interactive station at the FIFA Museum Hong Kong puts you into real match situations and invites you to take an active part.
Legendary Players
From Pelé and Maradona to Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Sun Wen and Alex Morgan.
The FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup have shaped some of football’s greatest legends. This section brings together iconic shirts from players who have left their mark on the game’s biggest stage.
